A message from our Worthy District Master Bryant Sayers

Worthy FNs and CCCs,

Please froward to our assembly members:

Sir Knights,

Are we doing our part?  One day you were asked to join the Knights of Columbus.  You said Yes.  You were then asked to join the Fourth Degree, again you said Yes.  Have you asked someone lately to join?  We need to recruit for our Councils as well as our Assemblies.  Will you be bringing them to the Exemplification in January?

For those living in the Phoenix area Tucson is only a little over an hour away!  Isn't it worth your time to ask a Brother to join our Patriotic order, stand united with your southern Brothers to share ideas, attend mass, .....Why wait?

A message from our Worthy District Master Bryant R. Sayers regarding the District Call Out for Midnight Mass in Maricopa

Sir Knights/Brothers All

I understand that this request may be difficult to support as most Sir Knights  generally participate in their own Parish's Midnight Mass with their families.

But as promised we will put the word out just in case a SK is willing/can support the Bishop Moreno Assembly 3039 request for a call out to support their first Mid Night Mass in their new church in Maricopa.

I am requesting that a Call Out be sent to help them.  This call out is being sent to the Assemblies in the Diocese of Tucson and Phoenix (Phoenix Knights are actually closer than those that would travel from the Tucson area).

I know that District Marshall Drew and his wife (Deb) will try and attend and Former Master Robert Holsinger will be attending.

Mass is at 12am and assembly will be at 11:15pm, please have members RSVP the Faithful Navigator Alan Sanchez at alan.sanchez@gd-ms.com  no later than 12/20/16 so he can give Father a head count for seating purposes.

I would attend but I will be participating in a Jail Ministry in Bisbee.

Midnight Mass at your respective parish this year

Worthy VSM, FSM, PMFDs, FNs and CCCs,

We will be seeing a number of call outs during the next several weeks.  Please check with your Parish about participating in the Midnight Mass or whichever Celebration your pastor desires of your assembly.  Issue your call out to your assembly soon and follow up on the day or so before Christmas Eve.  It would be great if someone could take pictures and submit them to our Worthy District Master so they can be posted on the State website.  We want to have dozens of Christmas Call Outs shown from across the State.

If you have no requirement for Midnight Mass at your parish (some don't), we could absolutely use your assembly at the Cathedral for the televised Mass for the Diocese of Phoenix.  Or, if you are in the South East Valley, Our Lady of Grace in Maricopa is having the First Midnight Mass EVER! in the new Church and Father Vasquez has asked for our participation with a LARGE Honor Guard.

Please send out the Call Outs for the Christmas Season to your assemblies.  We are the visible arm of the Order.  We definitely show the presence of "practicing" Catholic gentlemen.  It also makes sense to have someone not in regalia there that cab be handing out Form 100s and 400s to friends and neighbors that see YOU professing your faith as a Knight of Columbus.

Merry Christmas and we hope to see you and your Honor Guards at a Call Out near you soon!
